problematic questions should be solved -

Dear friends,

i have a rather uncomfortable question, but i think that i must ask you.

in my home, i have pictures of Srila Ananta das Babaji and also of Srila Nikunja Gopal Goswami.
some people who see these pictures ask me often about the "far-out" persons on them.
when i answer that these are saintly persons from Holy Places in India, very often they ask
"How come that they have such big bellies or Why are they so fatty?" its even more puzzling for them because
actually they know that these persons should be renounced.

please, dont feel offended by such a question on the bodily platform,
but i need a satisfying answer.

i hope not to be smashed to pieces by your answers.

sincerely
Tarunji

As far as I recall, Baba has a malfunction of the liver, on account of which the fat coming into his body doesn't dissolve but accumulates, no matter how small the quantity be.

In general, the accumulation of fat depends much on the individual's bodily constitution. I've seen some GM gurus take five meals a day and stay slim as ever.

Unfortunately I'm not a doctor. A doctor would probably prove to be much more insightful in this regard. In essence, overeating is not always the reason for becoming fat.

Sanctity in no way is bound to body constitution.

If your visitors are Christians, you can point out such examples, as Pope or, probably, Martin Luther.
If they are from ISKCON/GM, Sri Bhaktivinod Thakur would be appropriate.

Furthermore, these people are aged, and organism tends to have various disfunctions and malfunctions among old people, as Madhavaji said previously.

Jay Sri Radhe!

thank you!

thats what i thought.
thank you very much for your confirmation of my belief!

mostly those are pretty envious people who ask, but better to be nice to them and give them a laddhu!

As you can see on the photo gallery on my site, Sri Nikunja Gopal Goswami was bulky from young age. Some people just have such physical constitution; it is not caused by over-eating.
