Induleka's Kunja in a full moon light... -

Please accept my humble obeisance !

I'm Srila Narayna Maharaja's disciple, and I have been viziting this Site for awhile. Now I decided to participate.

After reading the Radhakunda's discriptions, a doubt arose in my mind... When Radha and Krishna goes to Induleka's Kunja in the text says: " If someone comes here accidentally while Radha and Krishna are playing here with Their girlfriends on a full moon light, "nobody will notice Them" in the white ligfht, as They wear white clothe then "

My question is : I heard Srila Ananta Das Pandita in one of his lectures about Radha-sudhanidi, that when Sri Radha meets Sri Krishna in a full moon light Their girlfriends use a white paste on Her face, turning It completly white. He didn't mention anything about Krishna, but, would Krishna use the same white-paste on His lotus face ?

It is a good question to ask Baba. Maybe someone else has heard something.

These various colored kunjas are there in Radha Kunda for Sri Radha-Krsna's pastimes so that if some outsider, like Jatila, happens to come snooping by, Radha and Krsna are unnoticed. In Campakalata's golden kunja only Krsna can be seen (because He is blackish) and Radharani merges with the golden colored landscape.

It would appear that in the eternal night pastimes in Vrndavan, Radha and Krsna don't have any reservations or fears of Jatila or anyone of this nature that would come to disturb the lila. They left everyone blissfully asleep in their respective abodes. The biggest obstacle is Radharani leaving Her home in Yavat or Varshana without arousing any attention. Her anklebells are stiffled with a cloth of some sort, so that they do not jingle as She leaves Her abode. But once She's out, She is home free in Krsna's arms, of course till early morning when She must return.

In  Krsna Bhavanamrta of Visvanath Chakravarti Thakur, chapter 19, there is a description of the unmanifested eternal pastimes of the Rasa lila in reverse roles. That is, Krsna assumes the dress and role of Sri Radha, and Radha assumes the role, dress and plays the flute of Krsna. Radha's body is made black being anointed with aguru. Krsna's body is made fair with kunkuma. They bewilder everyone because no one can tell who is who!

I don't think Krishna is under a similar pressure than Sri Radha is on account of Her family-in-law, particularly Jatila and Kutila, watching and suspecting Her all the time of meeting Sri Krishna. Yashoda Ma and Nanda Baba are not concerned about Krishna in such a way, since He is not married, and consequently His personal anxiety and concern are not as intense, inasmuch as His leaving Nandagaon for the nocturnal abhisara is concerned. Of course He does share Sri Radha's anxiety.
