I guess one should start from the feet first (let's be respectful now) and then work their way on up...

http://www.chocolatedeities.com/deityl.php?deity=krishnaI do not know what to say but I feel somehow it is inappropriate. Once in Bombay the disciples of ACBSP brought him French Marzipan (Almond butter with sugar and flavoring) in the form of a decorated Braj cow like a picture or a cow deity you would see on the altar. My Srila Prabhupada was nearly in tears. He looked at the disciples who brought it with wet eyes and asked in a soft almost trembeling voice "You want me to eat the cow?" everyone felt sad and they apologized profusely. The marzipan cow was removed and brought to the kitchen where it was broken down into little round balls. It was then offered later in that form. However I think we all learned a lesson in decorative culinary technique in the vaishnava tradition.
