In each of those kuñjas, Krishna enjoys either with Radha or with that particular sakhI. Yes, they are the leading caretakers of these kuñjas, though the practical arrangements are commonly done by the vana-devIs of Vrinda.

The mañjarIs have kuñjas as well, though their kuñjas are not as grandiose as those of the leading sakhIs, and are primarily meant for keeping the paraphernalia for varieties of service.

How can I type tildes like that, with words like manjari, kunja, and so on?

I have a key for adding ñ, û and ï on top of letters in my Finnish keyboard, as well as one for é and à. I would assume that for example French keyboards have the same. So, switch to using either of the two. smile.gif

Thanks Gaurasundara! That was my question too. I was wondering how Madhava gets it and we don't! huh.gif

If you want to know how to add accents or type diacritcs on any system go to

http://tlt.its.psu.edu/suggestions/international/index.html

The whole site is very interesting and well worth looking over.

Specifically the answer to how to produce ñ ca be found at

http://tlt.its.psu.edu/suggestions/interna...alt.html#accent for windows

http://tlt.its.psu.edu/suggestions/interna...ts/codemac.html for mac

http://tlt.its.psu.edu/suggestions/interna...b/codehtml.html for html

If you do añy kiñd of desktop publishiñg you get used to alt-keyiñg so mañy characters, e.g. the m-dash, n-dash, etc. Uñfortuñately this cañ be difficult oñ a laptop though as you really ñeed the ñumeric keypad iñ order to do it (relatively) quickly. I also keep the Wiñdows Character Map hañdy as it lists all of the alt-keys for each foñt you have iñstalled. You cañ copy añd paste from it also.

Wow, an All-Terrain Optical Engine--or, to use NASA's inhouse abbreviation, "a toe."

I actually have an inbuilt keypad on my Thinkpad but haven't managed to learn the key that enables it. blush.gif
