Hare Krsna. Jai Radhe!

For father's day I am looking for some nice verses that give praise to the father. Any references in this matter would be kindly appreciated. Thank you very much.

The famous Hindu prayer :

"tvam eva mAta ca pitA tvam eva
tvam eva bandhuzca sakhA tvam eva
tvam eva vidyA draviNaM tvam eva
tvam eva sarvaM mama deva! deva!"

"O Lord! You alone are my Mother.
O Lord! You alone are my Father.
O Lord! You alone are my Kith and Kin.
O Lord! You alone are my Friend.
O Lord! You alone are my Wealth.
O Lord! You alone are my Knowledge.
O Lord ! You alone are my everything!"

In Gita 9.17 Lord Krishna said-

'pitA 'hamasya jagato mAtA dhAtA pitAmahaH,
vedyaM pavitram oGkAra Rk sAma yajureva ca'

'I am the Father of this world, the Mother,

the Dispenser and the Grand-father.
I am Knowable, the Purifier, the sacred syllable OM
and also the Rik, the Samn and the Yajus.'

yac cApi sarva-bhUtAnAM
bIjaM tad aham arjuna
na tad asti vinA yat syAn
mayA bhUtaM carAcaram

10.39.

Furthermore, O Arjuna, I am the generating seed of all existence.
There is no being — moving or nonmoving — that can exist without Me.

Arjuna prayed:

pitAsi lokasya carAcarasya
tvam asya pUjyaz ca gurur garIyAn
na tvat-samo 'sty abhyadhikaH kuto 'nyo
loka-traye 'py apratima-prabhAva

You are the father of this complete cosmic manifestation
,
of the moving and the nonmoving. You are its worshipable chief,
the supreme spiritual master. No one is equal to You..
How then could there be anyone greater than You within
the three worlds, O Lord of immeasurable power?

Adau samuccharred rAdhAM
pazcAt kRSNaM ca mAdhavaM
zrIkRSNo jagatAM tAto
jaganmAtA ca rAdhikA
pituH zata guNe mAtA
vandyA garIyasI

(Narada Panca Ratram)

First utter the Name of Mother of the world 'rAdhA' and
afterwards the Name of Father, Supreme Self, 'kRSNa',
because, the Guru of Father is the Mother and so
she is worshippable hundred times more.'

The great poet-saint Kalidasa has sung-
'jagataH pitarau vande pArvatI-pramezvarau'

(Raghuvamsam 1.1 - Mahakavi Kalidasa)

I offer my salutations to the Original Parents of the world,
Lord Siva and Mother Parvati Devi.

Bhagavatpada Sri Shankaracarya had also glorified
the Divine Parents in his prayers.

''mAtA me pArvatI devI pitAdevo mahezvaraH,
bAndhavAH zivabhaktAz ca svadezo bhuvana trayam'

(Sri Annapurna Stotram)

"My Mother is Parvati Devi and my Father is Lord Siva.
My family relatives are the devotees of Lord Siva.
My homeland is the three worlds."

These quotes are from "5 Divine Abodes" by Jayadayal Goyandka, which contains stories from the Padma Purana:

"First adoring parents then whatever Dharma one accomplishes is impossible to earn even through hundreds of sacrifices and pilgrimages. Father is piety, father is paradise and father is verily the best penance. All gods are pleased if father is pleased. The son gets the virtue of bathing in Ganga daily who propitiates his parents through his meritorious services. Mother contains all holy places in her person and father is embodiment of all gods. Therefore every care should be taken to propitiate parents. He makes circumambulation of the whole earth with seven continents who circumambulates his parents. He attains heaven whose hands, forehead and knees touch the earth while saluting them. The son is not sanctified till when his body has the dust of his parent’s feet. The son who drinks the water with which his parents feet are washed gets his sins destroyed, which were accumulated through crores of his past births."

[Remember the Brahmana who burnt the crane to ashes? Lord Hari sends him to five places to regain his virtue. The first being the home of Muka Candala who is serving his parents]

"…the Brahmana went to the residence of the Candala. There he saw him serving his parents with heart and soul. During winter he served them, hot water for bath, gave oil massage, kindled the oven to heat them, offered betel after food, bathed them with cottonlined dress. Daily he served delicious sweets and fragrant garlands in the spring season. He provided all other varieties of enjoyment and fulfilled all their needs. He fanned them in summer. In this way he nursed them and only after serving them he used to take food. It was his permanent routine to remove the fatigue and other inconveniences of his parents. Due to these virtuous deeds his house was hung in the sky without any base or support of pillars. Sri Hari, the Lord of all the three worlds, used to sport daily in his house in the guise of a handsome brahmana. The Lord as truth incarnate beautified his abode with His effulgent presence."

************

"Lord said - 'O Brahmana, father should be adored like god and loved like a son. An idea of disobeying should not even arise in the mind. The son who nurses his sick father, gets inexhaustible heaven and is adorable by the gods in heaven. ..."
