Offical Start Date - Officially!

Ok, seems there was a little confusion, and we (err.. I) jumped the gun as the case may be on starting this up.

Let's make the offical start date April 15th.

This will give people the chance to find out about this study group, ask any questions, etc.

So we're now officially started, then!

We have Lancer, Tamal Baran, Hari Saran, Kalkidas, Advitiya and Pursottam participating now, in addition to myself and Dharmachakra. Eight participants - sweet.

Others, feel free to jump onboard anytime -- just read the latest assignment and start posting. (However of course you should also catch up with the others and read the book from the beginning!)

So, here we go then! The first day of discussions.

Are we supposed to be studying these books in relations to sastras, or are we allowed to indulge in personal reflections too?

Indulge as you wish. Anything should go, as long as it's on topic and strives to bring further understanding on the topic.

I agree. The point here is to study the books to increase your insight and understanding. You should feel free to bring in other materials as long as they pertain to the reading at hand. Just stay on topic. If you mention other verses, please give the book and verse number.
