The moderating team - Braja's resignation
Advitiya - Mon, 14 Feb 2005 21:11:22 +0530
I couldn't help noticing that Braja is no longer in the moderating team. I find it very sad but I don't blame him the way the forum has become recently. I also find that it was just taking too much of his time to keep up with these topics which were not helping him in his devotional path. I hope the situation will get stabilized soon and things will get in order again.

Mallika, soft and sweet. True to your name and your sweet Lord!

Oh how sad! I hope I didn't contribute to your deciding to give up on moderating!
As I contemplate doing it myself I appreciate what a difficult task it can be.
I apologize if I have in any way made the job harder for you in the absence of Jagat and Madhava.
Blessed Be--
Tapati

I dont think Braja unmoderating himself has anything to do with the non-GD topics but with the burdensome strain of being obligated to remain a dispassionte emotionless omniscient board-overseer. I would hate to be moderator. I can't imagine anything more tedious than being moderator and feeling forced to act neutral and detached at all times even when topics so close to your heart are discussed - as though you are some kind of robot sifting all your words through the diplomacy-shredder or etiquette-grinder. You can't really participate truly if you are forced to observe and 'moderate' neutrally like some kind of ombudsman. Braja despite the uglyness I respect the fact that you would even bother to read these touchy issues without instantly banning me for thoughts that disturb some people here.

I have not had the privilege of seeing his letter of resignation and therefore I am not able to comment on his reasons for descending to "full member" status. I found nothing objectionable about the state of this website during his active stewardship. I note that controversial issues were contained within the confines of the forum marked controversial etc.
