MP3`s Needed -

As many know I`ve been running a stream of lectures/kirtans/bhajans from my DSL line.

I plan on puttin` a link to the stream on Namahatta.com where I distribute Mantra kits for free. The Mantra kits include a japa bag, japa mala and brief literature containing points about chanting. I do this because the more that people are chanting the better the chance is that they are not fighting

Anyway, the server gets listed at shoutcast and Ill more than likley submit it to more online radio station portals. Point is that the site gets listed with the stream so I have had a pretty good jump in visitors to the site and a few more mantra kit orders since I started it a week ago.

Here is my main point:

I`m not too keen on only broadcasting only ISKCON stuff which is mostly what I have. I nabbed about 90GB of lectures from various places off the New Vrindaban Server when I was there, however this limits the scope of what I`m trying to do.

What am I trying to do?

Well, I would like this audio stream to reflect as many aspects of Gaudiya Vaisnavism as possiable....to be non secular. There are already a number of streams that only feature ACBS so it would be nice to present something different to let folks know that there is a whole world of Gaudiya lineages out there where one can pick and choose from

In order to gather more material I have set up an anon FTP site for uploads. If you have some nice material you would like to share with the world then please feel free to fire up your FTP client or send them thru a browser and I will include them in the broadcast. I`m not a rich man by any means so it would be impossiable for me to go to all the Mathas and such and order all of their materials and then convert them to MP3 format.

What do you get?

For starters you may get some satisfaction knowing that you are directly sharing what inspires you with the rest of the listening audience. You would also be glorifying your GuruJi by sharing his wisdom. You would also be indirectly helping me spead the good word around with these kits.

The details:

Uploads can happen in two ways;

1. Direct Anon FTP:
Fire up your FTP client and use these settings-
www.ashramblog.com or better yet - 69.50.216.35
user-ashram
Check 'log in' PW box as "Anon"
You will be then taken to the 'incomming' folder.

2. Use your browser
ftp://69.50.216.35
And if you get a prompt for some reason then just log in as Anon.

I pray that somebody will give me a hand on this project by providing these requested, various files to be shared with the curious and the appreciative.

Im sorry that I forgot to post the IP, I forgot I set it up as "ip based" to allow anon logins.

When you log in you dont see anything though so when I get some uploads i will just move them to a directory above root and then anyone may download them.

A while back I popped my head in there and saw a thread from you requesting a re-sending of an mp3 of a kirtan sung by Gaurangi dasi. That was me who originally sent it to you; that 30-min or so of really raw kirtan sung by a master of kirtan. Let me know how I can send it to you again if you still want it.

DB got corrupted and I didnt have the desire to spend three hours on reparing it. Doesnt matter because noone goes there anyway anymore unless they want mantra kit.

You have requested Mp3's...I am not sure which that you have on your site because the page didn't show up when I clicked on streaming media. My computer does this sometime.
But I have some Mp3 kirtan of Aindra prabhu in Vrindavan (24 hour kirtan) Perhaps I can send you some if I knew how to send them by e-mail. I also have some other old Iskcon stuff on Mp3.

I got about 2k files from sitproperly on SoulSeek. Stream is down now until I finish building the host computer for it which is my new file server.
