Blocked IP addresses -

Someone from 68.34.235.xxx shows as 25 guests at the same time in the forums. IP address blocked to bring down the server load. If you are on this IP block, contact the administrator.

I can't check from here, but I hope that isn't my work ip. I work at an ISP and am on a network on a T1, and I don't know how that might appear IP-wise but there are a bunch of us on the network. I believe the IP is in the 60s.

Of course if it showed up "today" it wouldn't be me as I'm posting from home.
"Today" according to Pacific time. But if it is only weekdays between 12:30 pm and 9 or 10:00 pm Pacific time I might be a candidate.

Most likely we're dealing with a stupid new search engine who doesn't know how to crawl dynamic pages and who thinks it's a good idea to hammer the site with dozens of queries at the same time.

There is one dude I remember from my saraswata.net forums. I used to find him with numerous browser calls at the same time on different pages of the forum. There were times I saw him with probably 20 visits at the same time, which he must have accomplished by calling new browser starts over and over. he is some sort of a crackpot or a nutcase.
I saw him do this on a number of occasions and I would ban his IP address over and over, but he was with AOL or some provider that issued the slightly modified IP upon each new login. I kept unbanning him for some reason, but it wasn't long until I soon saw him doing the same thing over again. I don't think he is malicious or dangerous unless possibly he thinks he can crash a website by that kind of silly antics.

the other night I popped in here and left up the webpage all night after I crashed out in the bed. you might have noticed I was logged on for like 10 hours straight.
I am not that absorbed in the forum. I just fell asleep reading some of the posts and left my computer on all night.

I was happy to discover that it wasn't me. My IP begins with 63 at work also.
