Lost and Found - the polarity of apparency

Talasiga - Fri, 31 Dec 2004 23:08:40 +0530
One of the singers in our little bhajan band gave us all presents for the New Year.
She gave me a little book about Krishna, the one put out by Mandala. I left it on the front seat of my van while I was at New Year Bhajan Night in the city at a friend's house.

When I got back to the van after a rousing midnight kirtan I found someone had broken into the vehicle (they had smashed one of the side windows). They had ransacked the vehicle - everything was upside down so to speak. I have just finished tidying it up and find only one thing missing. It is that little Krishna book.

This elates be. It is a fantastic New Year's Message. Do you know why?

Chitra Sakhi ki Jay !

Because you had a suitcase with a million $ in the car and it's still there?

No, surely you're not that materialistic. Let me try again:

Because now that this thief has snatched a book about Krishna, you can be sure his prospects of material enjoyment now look very bleak? cool.gif

No, surely you are not that vengeful.

No, dear Talasiga, you tell us why this is a fantastic New Year message!

I am all ears.

Well there are at least 108 reasons. Which one would you like to hear first, Dear Dhyana?

Raadhe Krishna Raadhe Krishna Krishna Krishna Raadhe Raadhe!
Raadhe Shyaam Raadhe Shyaam Shyaama Shyaam raadhe Raadhe!

It brings you joy that someone would break into your van to have a book about Krishna and thinking that such happened to you, perhaps you will be benedicted by this saint to now have such a great determination to attain Krishna's lotus feet.

You too have received an inkling of Chitra Sakhi's grace I see. Thank you Babulu for providing me with explanation no 22 out of 108.

My warmest regards to you!

Hey! I found the book! Wedged between my front number plate and the bumper bar! rolleyes.gif

What kind of thief is this anyway? To take the book from the inside and secure it on the outside? And why the number plate?

Any thoughts? Hmmm?
Satyabhama - Sat, 01 Jan 2005 07:20:25 +0530
maybe if you tell us your license plate number, talasiga. smile.gif

Arey Betiya! There is no need for you to know this. It is enough to know that the bumper bar is the brunt end of the body and the number plate its identity.
And there was the book between the two, wedged there by the thieving saint.

Hmm...

The answer is simple, Talasigaji. The theif was concerned that you left sweet Gopala in the car with very poor air circulation, and so relocated Him to the outside of your van. The theif then tucked Govinda in behind the number plate to protect Him from the harshness of the night wind. smile.gif

If thief was concerned about the air circulation, wasn't it enough that he or she smashed a window? Hmmm?

You want Krishna to sit amidst heaps of broken glass? Come now! What kind of treatment is that for the Chor of all chors? wink.gif

The book was in the front seat as I told you earlier and the side window at the rear of the vehicle was smashed. There was no glass in the front.

Also, you simply must not compare this chor with Navaneetachor. Navaneetachor breaks hearts, not glass. See?

The chor broke the window, crawled through it and over broken glass within the vehicle, probably sitting on broken glass at some point. You said Krishna should not be left to sit in broken glass. Ergo, comparison insinuated or evinced.

It's very clear. One more person became Krishna conscious.
Satyabhama - Tue, 04 Jan 2005 20:27:06 +0530
Aha! I know why your chor left the book!

She was entranced by Krishna's image and just HAD to have Him for herself!

Then when she touched Him (on the book) the heat of His passionate sparsham burned her hands and she ran away, leaving Him on the front of your van.

Could that be the answer?

To ignore the money and all the other items and to go for the book. One would think the chor was ALREADY Krishna conscious, no?

I cannot imagine such a woman smashing a window and ransacking the car when the book was on the front seat patent to passing pilgrims.

Only a man would be so stupid .....
