An Apology for my post in 'Wasting Books' - Also: General apologies
DharmaChakra - Sat, 20 Nov 2004 03:03:44 +0530
I initially posted this to JD33, but both he and I agree that it should be made public.
QUOTE(PM to JD33)
I wanted to take a minute an apologize to you personally. I have read through the complete 'wasting books' thread, and see that you are correct. I had an initial gut reaction to the thread up to a certain point, and foolishly acted on it. Between my reading in the morning, and my drive to work, much was written that was simply not read and ignored by me.
Again, with straw between my teeth, I apologize for casting you in that light, and for my use of language. Please accept my apology. I thank you for the lesson.
I would like to extend the apology to all Vaisnavas present here.
Your Servant,
DharmaChakra

I want to add an apology here as well. I am somewhat new to this site: I didn't realize that this topic was on the IGM section and want to apologize for stating things that must have hurt people here. I realize that to write what I wrote anywhere would be hurtful and again apologize. It is a hard line sometimes in presenting info that is unknow to many and would cause pain to some and yet cause greater understanding and freedom to others. I feel I have crossed the line for a few reasons and simple wish the best to everyone in their spiritual life. I hope also the spiritual grace from Guru, God, and the Sadhus/practioners. kindly be kind!

Dear friends,
I also want to apologize to all Vaishnavas if I insulted them with harsh words or unappropriate behavior.

While we're at it, let me join the chorus and also apologize if I unintentionally pinched anyone's heart there.

Well, if Madhava is apologizing, then I am sure I must too. If not in this thread, I sure have offended someone somewhere so please forgive me everyone.

I'm sure Dharmachakra won't mind if we borrow his thread and extend it to be the "General apologies" -thread, too.

Of course not... if you feel bad about something, might as well apologize here
I've always taken sincere apology to be in line with Mahaprabhu's instruction to be 'more humble than a blade of grass'. On that, anyone have some scriptual context to apology? If you do, it should be put in its own thread..

I do not need to apologise. I am so utterly insignificant that nobody would be offended by anything I said.
