1, Radha , 2, Damodara's best beloved, 3, Radhika, 4, Varsabhanavi,
5, the fresh Malika flower wreath in the bound-up hair of all the cowherd damsells, ie the most prominent of them,
6, Foremost of Krsna's lady-loves, 7, Gandharva, 8, Lalita's bossom friend,
9, who revels in Visakha's friendship, and 10, the fresh flower bud for Hari's bee-like heart.
These are ten very charming epithets for the queen of Vrndavana which make up this most secret hymn called Ananda candrika.
Whoever would recitation of it make gets free from affliction and adorned with inestimable good fortune,
nay, they (who would recite it) immediately become the recipient of Radha and Madhava's boundless grace.
