Jay Radhe! Welcome to Srivas Angan! - Introduction and list of members

Madhava - Wed, 18 Aug 2004 02:41:06 +0530

Jaya Sri Radhe!

Finally we have our little safe haven here, a solitary spot amidst the vast cyberspace, reserved exclusively for sAdhu-saGga among those who share the same aspiration, namely the nectar of mańjarI-bhAva-sevA in the wake of the example of Sri Rupa and others.

To bloom in their full potential, devotional discussions on our cherished aspirations ought to take place in protected circumstances, away from the preying eyes of critics and those with contrary moods. With this goal in mind, we have decided to reserve this section exclusively to those who either are initiated in traditional Gaudiya parivars or aspire for the same in order to wholeheartedly pursue the prayojana we have learned of.

In order to not make others, who are marginally interested, feel themselves excluded, it is best if this section is not advertised at all. As people come in and join other discussions elsewhere in the forums, and as we eventually learn to know them, we may add them in. However, not anyone and everyone should be allowed to either read or contribute here in order to preserve the sanctity of the atmosphere.

Hari
Its Dave, and I'm honored to be asked to join in this little community within a little community. In fact, looking over the list of names, I'm completely humbled to be asked to participate.

From my heart, thank you!

I would have added you ages ago, Hari, but we took the approach of only adding those who were around and active in the forums when we set this up.
Sakhicharan - Wed, 03 Nov 2004 03:23:57 +0530
Thanks for the welcome Madhavji. It was kind of you to add me to the list! smile.gif

Two more esteemed souls added:

- Anand
- JD33

Welcome in!

If you feel like introducing yourselves a bit more, given that this section is off limits for everyone but those mentioned in the first post of the thread, I'm sure that would be welcome, though most of us probably already have a pretty good picture of who you are.
JD33 - Thu, 04 Nov 2004 01:03:59 +0530
Thank you everyone - and I wish this to be wonderfully fruitful for everyone.
Anand - Thu, 04 Nov 2004 02:17:16 +0530
Madhava and others,

Thank you for welcoming me into this private group. I am touched and honored.
Madhava - Wed, 10 Nov 2004 22:08:22 +0530

Madhava - Thu, 23 Dec 2004 20:32:40 +0530
And welcoming, on her birthday:

- Revati Dasi

... though I suspect she's been reading through Hari Saran's account, anyway. smile.gif

As some of you may have noticed, Openmind decided to quit from GD. Subsequently, we'll also be missing his company here.

To fill in the gap, I've added in an old friend, Dauji, who's been around the forums since a long time and has again become more active as of late. Welcome, Dauji!

And of course, since our good old Advaitadas is back in the business again, we'll add him in too as a cherry on the top. smile.gif Sorry for not adding you in earlier, Advaitaji! This section hasn't been awfully active as of late.

Perhaps we can do something about that? smile.gif
Tamal Baran das - Tue, 25 Jan 2005 00:17:21 +0530
Ok Madhava....It is time that you open that hidden bottle of vintage lassi which was in freezer since last year....hahahaha

Thank you for the invitation; I feel very fortunate to be in such good company--even if it is just to fill some gaps. wink.gif tongue.gif

I've added in Kamala. Welcome! smile.gif
Kamala - Sun, 20 Feb 2005 04:28:56 +0530
Wow - I am in shock, I didn't know this area existed, so thanks for letting me in!

I am now feeling a bit guilty about how I have been feeling (and expressing a couple of times in posts) lately that GD was going off-topic. If I had known this area of GD existed, I might not have been so worried. But in any event I see the rules etc are being revised, so I hope to be able to contribute so far as I can to helping make the site what the core members wish for it.

Thanks again to all of you, I just got a delivery of books from Loi Bazaar.com and am trying to understand more about the traditional path.

I will try to read through the material on Srivas Angan in order not to post prematurely, which would be like wading into a beautiful mandir with my "muddy boots of misconception" on! blush.gif

Yes, certainly. The fact that you can see this means you are in. I added you in while processing the member accounts, but didn't yet have the time to inform you of the same or announce it here. smile.gif
TarunGovindadas - Sun, 20 Mar 2005 18:06:44 +0530
Heartfelt thank you.

You did a wonderful "revising"-job.
Very nice!

Two thumbs very up!

I'd like to add in Janardan Das, a friend and gurubhai from Russia who, I hear, has just received his five-year visa for staying in Vraja. smile.gif
Madhava - Sat, 09 Apr 2005 02:08:28 +0530
My goodness. I just realized that Kalki Das wasn't included here. Please pardon the oversight. blush.gif

I've also added in Pursottam, who hasn't been very active in the forums but whom I know since a good while and who's a sincere student of Gaudiya Vaishnavism. Yes, and Lancer, whom some of you may already know.

Also: Sevarasik (Premananda Das), a gurubhai from Canada. smile.gif
Madhava - Tue, 19 Apr 2005 02:31:19 +0530
My goodness. Again one of these awakenings. Gaurasundara, a long-time participant in GD who's again around after a well-earned break, wasn't included yet.
Gaurasundara - Tue, 19 Apr 2005 03:19:12 +0530
Thank you very much, I do feel very honoured. blush.gif

Srivas Angan, so lets have some kirtan that will make Mahaprabhu swoon! w00t.gif

I'd like to welcome Rasaraj here. He has finally proven that he's quite serious and has agreed to try and control his overbearing nature also.

Actually, as moderators, both of us were locked out of here and the study group and we didn't even realize! Guess we've got some extra homework to do now.

Huh?!? Ok, now you really need to get to work laugh.gif

I was kind of wondering why neither of you contributed to the study group...
Rasaraja dasa - Wed, 27 Apr 2005 03:15:08 +0530
Radhe Radhe!

Madhava suspended my participation until I could get an Adhikari Evaluation and 3 references that I do, indeed, read. It took some time, and a lot of money, to get the three references.

Radhe!

Come on now, folks, you're all silent! Is there nothing you have to say on our current readings? Get writing, or I'll consider accidentally reverting the permission database to the way it was a few days back... biggrin.gif
Rasaraja dasa - Thu, 28 Apr 2005 20:54:39 +0530
Radhe Radhe!

I have been unable to contribute due to have a Maharaja staying in my home as well as having so much work to do these days. After this week my Budget's will be done and Maharaja leaves mid next week which allow me more time to participate. I would have been ore than happy to participate a few weeks back if I wasn't thrown out! whistling.gif

If you spot other forgotten souls who should have been included ages ago, please PM me.
Mina - Mon, 09 May 2005 02:16:06 +0530
JD33 told me about this section. I was always curious to know about the content of it. Thanks for the invite.
