The book Rasa-darshana - Split from "Grantha-seva..."

I do not see the book
on your catalogue nor on the shelf, the book titled 'Rasa Darshan' which Sri Baba personally picked up for me from his book store.
Jaya Sri Radhey!

Not yet fully translated. I have done about half of it. Hopefully, I'll be able to get back to it soon.
It is a very important book about understanding some of the mechanics of experiencing bhakti-rasa.

The English book I received from Sri Baba was complete.
They wouldn't publish an incomplete translation nor sell it.
Some other translators in India might have completed the task.

I'll have to get a copy then.

Dandavats. All glories to the Vaisnavas.
I also have a finished copy of Rasadarsana. It def. needs a lot of work in respects to the translations amd English. The print quality will be greatly improved on the next print run.
Aspiring to serve the Vaisnavas,

Dandavats. Jay Sri Sri Guru Gauranga!
Any idea how we are able to obtain a copy of this Rasa Darshan?

This was the understanding I also had. Baba asked me to do this some time ago, and I started it up, but have never been able to keep my mind fixed on the project. It is fairly short and well worth doing properly.

I do not know if you are talking about the same edition of the English book titled 'Rasa Darsan' with ocean blue glistening cover.
Sri Babaji took pride in his book while presenting it and it also seemed to me well done.
But unforunately I didn't finish reading it as my devotee friends in India fell in love with that book and wanted to keep it, when I returned to USA. Some Canadian devotees have also requested me to buy more copies and mail to them.
As I recollect my quick glance of the content of the book, it consisted of many beautiful verse from Rasik Poetry of Saints of Vraja. I can add the book review only after August, 04.

I have the one with greenish cover and Sri Rupa Goswamipada on the front. It has subtitle too: The philosophy of Divine Sentiments.
I got mine over my Gurubrother Pran Govinda Das. I have heard about that book through Madhava.
I think Madhava doesn't have them, but hopefully Jagat and Madhava will make new accessible copies with up to date english translation in the foreseeable future.
There is also two more books, still not yet published and not translated, one about glories of Sri Radhakunda, and Sri Bilvamangala Thakuras Sri Krishna Karnamrita.
Hopefully, Madhava will do them all too.
For any inquiries about books, the best is to ask Madhava here in Europe, or Braj from Loi Bazaar in States. They are the best...

Right now, the best source for having Rasa Darshan sent over seas is
Pran Govinda.

No, we are not talking of the same edition. Mine is a lime green covered version. The translation to English is very rough and the print quality is raher poor. I have not seen the version you are speaking about.

I suppose it is not an English edition you are talking about, Anuraag ji?
anuraag - Wed, 28 Jul 2004 23:55:58 +0530
Yes, it is an English one. Actually when other devotees couldnot find the English book 'Rasa Darshan' in the store, Sri Babaji himself picked it up with love for us, for the fortunate English reading foreign devotees! He also said it was a latest edition.
My friends have taken some more books in English like ' Manjari Svarupa Nirupana' and I have taken a few of Hindi books too.

Yes, untranslated as of yet. Hari is working on Madhurya-tattva-vijnana, I am nibbling together Bhakti-tattva-vijnana.
I should add the full Bengali catalogue to the SKCSM website. I'll do that once I get my connection back up and running.
