The ultimate nowhere-land. Whatever doesn't seem to fit in any of the other categories, post it in here. For example, discussions on Mahatma Gandhi and the latest news on CNN should go here.

Remove K.d.b. - Thanks!

If you really need to talk about ISKCON, Gaudiya Matha and other modern Gaudiya groups, and related politics...

I do not have the need to talk about all that, however, some times it comes across naturally as anything in life. I merely made simple questions based on what was given as reply. If for some reason was a misunderstanding on my side I do apologize but next time please ask before you move a topic. By the way, please, do me an immediately favor, remove all that (including replies) and tear off.

Thanks!

I dont think that topics of Krishnadas Babaji or important theological topics in relation to Iskcon/GM are political trash talks or so. Since all of us come from there and some of us are still in there it is an important class of discussions and should remain so in the future as well. It is allright to have a separate board for it, but this 'really' wording is not really required in my humble opinion.
Madhava - Tue, 20 Apr 2004 15:19:16 +0530
The "really" word has been removed and the forum heading reworded.

The moderators rarely ask before moving topics to right places. If a topic is ISKCON/GM related, that's where we'll move it. You can avoid having us move it by putting it in the right category to begin with.

Why would you want to have the whole thing removed? There are good contributions there. I can remove your posts, however, if you wish.

I think Harisharan should reconsider his request. It is a great topic.
Jagat - Tue, 20 Apr 2004 15:58:15 +0530
I agree with Madhava and Advaita. The point here is that though the original topic might have been OK here, it was turning into a discussion about the Gaudiya Math, so it was right to move it. But it brought up legitimate points.
Madhava - Tue, 20 Apr 2004 18:45:33 +0530
That's why I waited before moving it. The words "disgusted", "godbrothers" and "situation" prompted me to move it aside.

Dandavats. All glories to the Vaisnavas.

I would also request Harisharan to not have his posts removed. This was a nice thread and he contributed much of the material.

As for the... why he left. We will never know so why bother allowing such 'speculations' take over the emphasis of a topic? This is especially relevant when discussing an advanced Vaisnava as we cannot know their mind.

One interesting thought is many followers give the same reasoning for why BSST, ACBSP, GGM and TKG left. However I would imagine that if an elevated soul or siddha were to desire to leave this world it would most likely be for what they desire after this world as opposed to what they don't want in this world.

Aspiring to be a servant of the Vaisnavas,

Radhe!

Good after noon!

The point here started based on that “really need” by Madhava. It sounds political and discriminative. If you permit, it should started as simple as, “Iskcon, GM and Others here:”

As Advaitadas also pointed:

The text posted by Jagat is a nice collection of BBB’s memories about KDB; however, it has controversial aspects, which naturally stimulates query. All the contributors for the topic “KDB” did so with their best intention. Therefore, I have to admit that the topic should stay, off course, if they so wish.

Thanks for the new adds; I just got through reading.

We are navigating the fine line of discussing the path of bhakti without having to look at everything in the perspective of the doctrines and opinions of the Gaudiya Math and/or Iskcon. Obviously, that is an important area of discussion, so we don't want to eliminate it altogether, but we have decided to isolate them, especially where they could turn controversial.

That is why Madhava used the word really. No criticism of you was intended by the splitting of the topic.

To be honest, the expression “really” was a bad choice, but I do not think that was intended towards me; it was just a general calling, which did not sound nice. However, I’m not judging him. I can not judge him for misusing a word. Regardless of anything, we do have a lot of appreciation for the beautiful Seva that he is promoting, which goes beyond all this.
Madhava - Wed, 21 Apr 2004 14:39:18 +0530
To be honest, the word "really" was used because at one point in time, people in the forums seemed as if obsessed with evaluating ISKCON/GM, and many found it disturbing to the otherwise gentle and smooth atmosphere of the forums.
nabadip - Wed, 21 Apr 2004 17:32:14 +0530
Non-traditional members found it disturbing. Non-traditionals also wanted them removed to another area.

Let's face it: these orgs are a disturbing factor in Gaudiya Vaishnava culture, at the same time we traditionals have to be grateful that they exist, too. What's happening at the moment at this site is that the non-traditional members are quite active, which is also nice.
Anand - Wed, 21 Apr 2004 20:26:57 +0530
Yes. And I noticed that the traditionals, in contrast, are a little less active these days. I wonder why?
Jagat - Wed, 21 Apr 2004 20:38:18 +0530
I hope it's because they're doing bhajan!

Taking care of business, to be sure.
