Only the most unfortunate people do not take shelter of ZrI VRndAvana, where the golden and bluish complexioned divine young couple, ZrI ZrI RAdhA and KRSNa, are constantly enjoying intense ecstasy at every moment. They are engaged in conjugal pastimes, thereby increasing the sweetness of Their wonderful ecstatic love, and They are merging all the gopIs into the great ocean of transcendental mellows. - zrI vRndAvana-mahimAmRta 1.53

rAdhA-nAgara-keli-sAgara-nimagnAlI-dSAM-yat sukhaM
no tal-leSa-lavAyate bhagavataH sarvo 'pi saunkhyotsavaH
tatrASA yadi kasyacin nirupamaM prAptasya bhAgyazriyAM
tad vRndAvana-nAmni dhAmni parame svIyaM vapur naSyatu
The happiness enjoyed by the Supreme Lord is not equal to even a fraction of happiness relished by a gopI absorbed in the ocean of the divine pastimes of ZrI RAdhA and Her beloved Lord. Therefore if any fortunate person desires to achieve that incomparable happiness, let him give up his body in the supreme abode of ZrI VRndAvana. - zrI vRndAvana-mahimAmRta 1.54

rAdhA-keli-mRgasya kasyacid aho zyAmasya yUno navasy-
AbhIrI-gaNa-kAGkSamAna-karuNA-dRSTeH smaronmAdinI

zrI-vRndAvipinAbhidha vijayate kandarpa-keli-sthalI
The forest of VRndAvana, where the cowherd girls of Vraja beg a merciful glance from some bluish youth, who is like ZrI RAdhA's pet deer, increases the lusty desires of that bluish youth and manifests the complete mellows of rasa that are confidential to the Vedas. May that abode remain the topmost destination for all. - zrI vRndAvana-mahimAmRta 1.55

alakSyaH zrI-lakSmyA api ca bhagavatyA bhagavataH
sadA vakSa-sthAya madhura-madhuraH kecana rasAH
aho yad-dAzIbhiH satatam anubhUyanta urubhiH
prakArais tAM rAdhAM bhaja dayita vRndAvana-vane
Even though ZrI LakSmIdevI eternally resides in the heart of the Lord, she is unable to relish the wonderful sweet mellows of the Lord's exalted pastimes. Alas, my dear friend, reside in VRndAvana and simply worship ZrI RAdhA, for even Her maidservants are constantly relishing those mellows to their full satisfaction. - zrI vRndAvana-mahimAmRta 1.85

As Srimati Radharani was reclining on a couch in a grove of Vrndavana, Her dearmost Sri Krsna noticed His own bluish complexion reflected on Her breasts. In this way He became astonished and jokingly eplained that He had Himself become a great bluish bodice worn by Srimati Radharani. I pray that I may someday attain the abode of Sri Vrndavana and join the company of Srimati Radharani's maidservants to relish these humourous pastimes of the Lord.

Just meditate on Sri Radha's maidservants, whose long braids swing to and fro, whose hips are broad, whose waists are thin, whose budlike breasts are decorated with beautiful necklaces, whose age is tender youth, who are decorated with various enchanting garments and ornaments, whose bodily complexion is golden like kunkuma, and who are full of the mellows of ecstatic love. - zrI vRndAvana-mahimAmRta 2.22

Let us offer our obeisances to the gopis, who are rolling on the ground overwhelmed with ecstasy from seeing Sri Sri Radha and Krsna engaged in enjoying conjugal pastimes on a bed decorated with enchanting flowers situated under a canopy within a wonderful flower grove of Vrndavana. - zrI vRndAvana-mahimAmRta 2.39

I take shelter of the cowherd girls of Vrndavana, who are decorated with the remnants of Krsna's ornaments, garments, and garlands, and who are eagerly serving Sri Sri Radha and Krsna, who enjoy Their eternal pastimes in the groves of Vrndavana, by offering Them flower garlands, ornaments, musk, aguru, kunkuma, sandalwood paste, betel nuts, and garments, as well as by their unparalleled dancing and singing accompanied by sweet tunes and musical notes.

Some of the cowherd girls are making sandalwood paste mixed with kunkuma, some are preparing flower garlands, some are decorating the groves where amorous pastimes take place, some are gathering new ornaments, and some are spending a long time preparing palatable foodstuffs. - zrI vRndAvana-mahimAmRta 2.41

kAscin nartana-gIta-vAdya-su-kalA-sAmagri-sampAdikAH

Some of the new cowherd girls are absorbed in making the finest betel nut preparations. Some of them are busy making arrangements for the performance of the fine arts like music, dancing, and singing. Some of them are gathering articles for bathing, some of them are happily fanning their beloved couple with camaras, and some of them are supervising these activites. - zrI vRndAvana-mahimAmRta 2.42

kAscit sva-priya-yugma-ceSTita dRsaH stabdhAH sva-kRtye sthitAH
kSiptvAnyAli-pravartitA dayitayoH kAscit su khelA-parAH
itthaM vihvala-vihvalAH praNayataH zrI rAdhikA-kRSNayoH
dAsIr adbhuta-rUpa-kAnti-vayaso vRndAvane 'nvIyatAm
Some of them have become stunned simply by looking at the activities of their beloved couple, some of them are engaged in various duties under the directions of others, and some of them are enjoying sports with their beloved couple. in this way, Sri Radha's maidservants, who are freshly youthful and fully absorbed in ecstasy, are wandering about Vrndavana. Just meditate on them.

Sri Sri Radha and Krsna have entered into a solitary grove of Vrndavana. Serve Them by offering different garlands made of fragrant forest flowers, by smearing fragrant sandalwood paste on Their bodies, by offering betel nuts into Their mouths, by gently fanning Them with a camara, and by massaging Their lotus feet while They happily sleep. - zrI vRndAvana-mahimAmRta 2.56

Sri Sri Radha and Krsna sit on a raised platform decorated with flowers and creepers. Due to Their intense attachment for each other, Their vision, speech, and gestures are most enchanting. When some gopis, after seeing Their beautiful pastimes, are about to leave that place, the divine young couple smiled and caught their hands. As a result the gopis shyly bent their heads down, being absorbed in the mood of friendship. - zrI vRndAvana-mahimAmRta 2.57

Just meditate on Sri Radha's maidservants, who are young in age, whose bodily hues are like gold, who are attractive, whose waists are thin, whose hips and breasts are raised, whose noses are decorated with jewel-studded gold ornaments, whose ears are decorated with pearl-studded gold rings, whose heads are decorated with beautiful braids, and who are dressed in silk garments. - zrI vRndAvana-mahimAmRta 2.58

Just meditate on Sri Radha's maidservants, who are very beautiful, who are decorated with armlets and tiny bells that make tinkling sounds, whose feet are decorated with jewelled anklets, whose braids are decorated with flowers, whose chests are decorated with necklaces, and who all have golden complexions.

Just meditate on Sri Hari, whose enchanting beauty defeats that of millions of Cupids, and who is present in the grove of fresh creepers. In the disguise of a priya-sakhi, He forcibly enjoys pastimes with the most loving and blissful Sri Radha. - zrI vRndAvana-mahimAmRta 2. 76

Let me meditate on Sri Radha, who considered Her masseuse incompetent and thus chastised her after Krsna, disguised as a maidservant, gave Her immense pleasure by massaging Her lotus feet. - zrI vRndAvana-mahimAmRta 2. 77

tat-svAnanda-rasAmbudhau niravadhau magnam ca taM zyAmalam

nandaikAbdhi-rasa-bhramat-tanu-dhiyo dhyAyAmi tAs tat-parAH

Sri Radha, the Queen of Vrndavana, is now drowning in the blissful ocean of rasa in the form of Syamasundara, and Syama is also plunged into the unlimited ocean of rasa in the form of Radha. The gopis' bodies and hearts are swimming in the nectarean blissful pastimes of the divine couple, who are extremely dear to each other. In this way I meditate on Radha, Krsna, and the gopis. - zrI vRndAvana-mahimAmRta 2.81

When my dearmost Queen of Vrndavana saw a creeper decorated with fresh offshoots dispaying new buds and fresh blooming flowers with honey oozing from them and embracing a tamala tree, She became overwhelmed with ecstasy and was about to fall on the ground unconscious. Just then one of Her maidservants grabbed Her. - zrI vRndAvana-mahimAmRta 2.84

suddhAnanda-rasaika-vAridhi-mahAvarteSu nityaM bhraman
nityAzcarya-vayo-vilAsa-susamA-mAdhuryam unmIlayat
aty-Ananda-madAn muhuH pulakitaM nRtyat sakhI-maNDale
zrI-vRndAvana-sImni dhAma-yugalaM tad gaura-nIlaM bhaje

I worship the golden and bluish-complexioned young couple of Sri Vrndavana, who move about in a whirlpool of the eternal nectarean ocean of pure bliss and whose age, beauty, and pastimes are full of sweetness. Due to intense ecstatic love, the hairs of Their bodies stand on end as They enjoy dancing in the midst of Their gopi friends. - zrI vRndAvana-mahimAmRta 2.85

Dear friends, the maidservants of Sri Radha are like bubbles in the foam of the effulgent ocean of sweet love that arises from the beauty of Sri Radha's lotus feet. These young and most beautiful gopis are filled with all artistic expertise. Just become a follower of these effulgent maidservants of Sri Radhika. - zrI vRndAvana-mahimAmRta 2.86

The gopis tie and decorate the hair of Radha and Krsna in a grove of Vrndavana, put Their ornaments on, dress Them nicely, feed Them, offer the flute and vina into Their hands, play musical instruments to inspire Them to dance, and always endeavour to increase Their beauty by dressing Them as nicely as possible. - zrI vRndAvana-mahimAmRta 2.90

navaM navam aho vahad vahala-manamathADambaram
navaM navam aho duhat sukha-mahAbdhim AlI-dRzAM

Alas, will I be able to see with my own eyes the young couple, who have accepted fresh youthful bodies, who manifest various amorous pastimes, who constantly award an ocean of happiness to the gopis, and who impart fearlessness in the abode of Vrndavana? - zrI vRndAvana-mahimAmRta 3.14

Just glorify Sri Hari, who is standing beneath a kadamba tree in Vrndavana, who is dressed in enchanting yellow garments, and who is engaged in watching the movement of Sri Radha. - zrI vRndAvana-mahimAmRta 3.17

mitho 'naGga-krIDA-rasa-jalanidher Urmi-nivahaiH
priya-dvandvety-andolita-vapuSi tIvra-smara-made
na zaktAH zrI-vRndAvana-bhuvi suvezAdi-karaNe

The gopis smile as they relish some indescribable happiness when they are unable to properly dress the young couple, who are overwhelmed by the waves of enjoying amorous pastimes in Vrndavana and who are fully agitated by the pride of ecstatic love for each other. - zrI vRndAvana-mahimAmRta 3.20

puSpa-zreNi-vikAsa-hAsa-yutayA gucchoru-vakSojayA
saMzliSTAh pulakAli-maNDita-latA-vadhvApy aho sattamAH
kRSNa-dhyAna-rAsAn muhuH pulakino mAdhvIka-dhArAsravo
nAtmAnaM ca param ca jAnata ime vRndAtavI-sAkhinaH

The trees of Vrndavana are embraced by their wives in the form of creepers, who are surrounded by bees that resemble the gopis. Blossoming flowers resemble their smiles, and flower clusters resemble their breasts. The shedding of honey by the flowers of these trees resembles the shedding of tears. They completely forget themselves while being absorbed in meditation on Krsna. - zrI vRndAvana-mahimAmRta 3.26

Maha Shiva Ratri Greetings to All!

An episode from Lord Caitanya Mahaprabhu's Pastimes:

"Lord Caitanya soon arrived in 'Jalesvara' village.

He went directly to the TEMPLE OF SIVA, the main Deity in that
village.

The Siva-Linga Deity was well looked after by local brahmana priest.

The floral decorations in the temple and on the diety were attractive
and the smell of incense permeated the air giving the place an
exhilarating devotional mood.

Devotees in the temple were singing, playing musical instruments, and
dancing. The Lord's anger (for Lord Nityananda breaking His sanyasi
danda) subcided in that joyful atmosphere.

He let the loving devotional feelings in His heart gradually flow and
merge in with the music.

Enlivened by His Dear Devotee's, (Lord Siva's) opulence and influence
in the temple, Lord Caitanya began to dance happily.

Lord Caitanya KNOWS the Lord Siva's glorious character, for He is the
FAVORITE among His devotees.

IF ANYONE DISRESPECTS LORD SIVA, NOT FOLLOWING the EXAMPLE OF LORD
CAITANYA,

THEN HE CAN NOT BE CONSIDERED A VAISHNAVA and ALL HIS SPIRITUAL
ADVANCEMENT IS ANNULLED.

As the Lord danced, He made joyful sounds so loud that the very
mountains seemed to tremble.

Lord Shiva's devotees were struck with amazement and thought that
LORD SIVA MUST HAVE APPEARED IN PERSON!

The musicians and singers reached a crescendo and the Lord became
fully absorbed in dancing, losing all contact with the outside world.

Meanwhile, His devotees arrived. Mukunda began to sing, joined by
others. Seeing His beloved associates, the Lord experienced great joy
and DANCED more vigorously while the devotees danced circling Him.

The whole scene was dynamically TRANSFORMED.

Tears flowed out effusively in a hundred streams from Lord's eyes.
Who can describe all the happenings properly?

THIS TEMPLE OF LORD SIVA WAS SANCTIFIED BY THE LORDS PRESENCE AND
DANCING IN FRONT OF THE DIETY OF SIVA-LINGA.

THE REAL PURPOSE FOR WHICH THE TEMPLE WAS BUILT WAS FULFILLED."

"Srimat has just bathed, and Her curly locks fall over Her face like thirsty bees surrounding a honeyfilled golden lotus growing from a lovelake. Syamasundara slowly comes down from the treebranch. Waves of desire sewll in the ocean of His erotic mellow when He sees Srimat’s moonlike face. And with His eyes, He prays to the maidservant to show Them a nice bower on the bank of the Yamuna, where He can unite with Srimat. Svamini is also very eager to fulfill Krishna’s desires. The maidservant arranges for the meeting of this anxious Pair in a bower on the bank of the Yamuna, and looks through the foliage to admire Their sweet pastimes. Suddenly, the transcendental vision disappears and Sripada pitifully prays: “When can I see these sweet pastime.”?

The gopis of Vrndavana are decorated with anklets, bangles, golden armlets, sashes, bracelets, and jeweled earrings. Their noses are decorated with golden rings bedecked with a pearl They are dressed in enchanting garments, their waists are thin and beautiful, their breasts are attractive, and beautiful necklaces bedecked with jewels are hanging around their necks. The ends of their braids are swinging to and fro.May my mind meditate upon such maidservants of Sri Radhika. - zrI vRndAvana-mahimAmRta 3.40

Alas, may Sri Hari, who plays a flute, whose bodily hue is just like a new cloud, who stands in a threefold-bending pose, whose crown is decorated with the feathers of peacocks, whose ears are adorned with jeweled earrings, who is agitated by the highest ever-fresh ecstatic love, and whose flute-playing breaks the chastity of the damsels of Vraja, manifest within my heart. - zrI vRndAvana-mahimAmRta 3.41

Isn't a person's life useless if he has not seen the Kalindi flowing through Vrndavana, where Radha and Muralidhara enjoy various pastimes accompanied by the gopis? In the waters of Kalindi there are various flowers such as the lily, lotus, and the white water lily, which are surrounded by humming bees. - zrI vRndAvana-mahimAmRta 3.63

jala-krIDA-kAle-kamaliny eka-vipine
nilInA zrI-rAdhA-yad-adhi kamalaM cumbati harau
sva-vaktrAbja-bhrAntyA hasitam atha nAlaM sthagayituM
hasitvA kAntenAdhriyata hasitAli-parikarA

At the time of playing in the water, Sri Radha hid Herself in a forest of golden lotuses. When Sri Hari began to kiss each and every lotus flower while mistaking them to be the beautiful face of Sri Radha, She could not control Her laughter. Syamasundara was then able to detect His beloved, and all the gopis and maidservants of Radha joined in laughing loudly. - zrI vRndAvana-mahimAmRta 3.66

When the son of Nanda Maharaja forcefully splashed water at His dear gopis, they all began to splash water at Him. Being unable to tolerate this, Syamasundara submerged within the waters of the Yamuna. Once, due to an intense desire for enjoying amorous pastimes, Radha and Krsna entered the waters of the Kalindi and passed a long time in such enjoyment. The gopis became extremely afflicted by separation and began to search for Them. - zrI vRndAvana-mahimAmRta 3.69

Just meditate on the gopis' service to the lotus feet of Sri Radha, who is the crest jewel among the damsels of Vraja. These pastimes include applying scented oil, taking bath in the Yamuna whilst leaving their clothes on its shore, performing ritualistic ceremonies, offerinf food, applying sandalwood paste, singing, offering and accepting the remnants of flower garlands and sweet betel nuts, and arranging for Radha to sleep with Krsna. - zrI vRndAvana-mahimAmRta 3.77

When I look at the effulgent rays emanating from the body of Sri Radha's maidservant, then my heart is not even attracted to Mohini-murti, what to speak of Parvati or Urvasi. May that Queen of Vrndavana, who even enchants Syamasundara, become manifest within my heart.

When will I achieve perfection in Vrndavana by merging into the ocean of nectar emanating from Sri Radha's lotus feet? When will the hairs of my body stand on end due to loving devotion? When will I play a pleasing musical instrument after mastering it from Sri Radha, and when will I receive the prasada of Radha and Krsna such as food, clothes, ornaments, necklaces, and flower garlands? - zrI vRndAvana-mahimAmRta 3.79

Alas, Sri Radha's fresh youthful body resembles shining gold, Her arousing movements are always most enchanting, She appears extremely attractive due to Her feelings of ecstatic love, Her own beauty has unlimitedly increased the beauty of Her garlands, ornaments and garments, and She has made Her maidservants stunned by Her personality.
