Raganuga Discussions Closing Down
There have been continuous misunderstandings over whose views the forums here represent, and under whose jurisdiction they are. Although I have done our level best to explain that the forums do not represent the view of any particular group, and that all opinions expressed herein are only the views of the individuals posting unless otherwise expressly stated, it apperars to not be clear to everyone visiting the forums.
Since various topics are being discussed, and sometimes discussions escalate into controversy and sometimes strong opinions are expressed, it would not be desirable to have any particular group or disciplic line held responsible for statements which in fact are not their official views, and may not be their views at all. Since the raganuga.com website contains material such as lectures related with Sri Ananta Das Babaji Maharaja, and while the forums here do not necessarily represent his views at all, it would not be appropriate to maintain the forums here.
With this in mind, I have decided to close down the Raganuga Discussion forums. There will be an alternate forum in which the threads from this discussion forum will be archived for everyone, and some of the more interesting ongoing threads will be moved to the active discussion area there. Those forums will in no way be my personal project, nor will any given individual be responsible for the entire forums. There will be moderators who moderate the discussions their level best to keep the discussions civil and rewarding for all participants. The alternative forums will not be affiliated with any particular person or group.
The member data, including PMs, of everyone active in the forums within the last two months will also be transfered to the new forums. Beyond that, the alternative forums will have nothing to do with Raganuga Discussions or the Raganuga.Com website.
The address of the alternative forums will be announced shortly.

Sometimes I think, that Krsna arranges events in our lives in such a way, that we
must make some sort of decisions, that will disturb public opinion and cause a blame from some people... Maybe, he want to teach us the 'elements' of parakiya bhava in such a manner?
I will feel myself comfortably here, even if the rest of the world would be up in arms against it... Because any and everyone here is that same "very rare person", who is dear to Krsna.

I dont understand. I thought raganuga.com was always an independent site. Wasnt Krishnacaitanya.com the special site for Ananta Das Pandit? Why now yet another site? And who will moderate that new forum, if not you? Why not just place a big banner over this forum - INDEPENDENT FORUM - NOT THE CLARION FOR ANY SECT OR GURU!

Well, we have audio lectures and some lecture transcripts from ADP on our main pages, and I suppose in a way this website has become affiliated with him after all.
There will be a clear statement of purpose and board rules there, and practically the environment won't be much different. Rather than myself being the main moderator, the responsibility (or lack thereof) will be shared among a board of moderators, who will together, if necessary, make decisions.
The new forums, since they are only the forums with no other content under the domain, will be more clearly independent of any affiliation whatsoever. Moving to the neutral waters.
