In today's news, we'd like to announce the Lake of Flowers Audio series, featuring a selection of kirtan recorded by our staff at various locations in Vraja-dhama. All files are offered as high-quality lossless FLAC-files, as Ogg Vorbis files, as well as in mp3-format in 192kbps and 64kbps qualities.

Purva-raga - Radha and Krishna fall in love
These two recordings narrate the story of purva-raga, describing the falling in love of Radha and Krishna. The first series of songs, describing Radha's side of the story, is led by Lalita Das Baba. The second, describing Krishna's, is led by Sanatana Das Baba. Recorded at Chakaleshvar, Govardhan.

Since the style of the kirtan is a seamless blend of narration and songs, the recordings haven't been cut into individual songs to preserve the flow of the experience.

Sucaka Kirtan

Sucaka Kirtan
Recorded at the disappearance festival of Siddha Baba of Ranabari and at Jiva Goswami Ghera, Radha-kunda, this entry features two sucaka-kirtanas narrating the life-stories of these two saints. Lead kirtaniyas: Hare Krishna Das, Sanatana Das (Ranabari) and Anath Bandhu Das (Jiva Goswami Ghera).

With the exception of the second track, the recording quality is regrettably lower than usual due to problems with the recording setup and local sound systems.

Shyamasundar Mandir
Recorded at Shyamasundar Mandir, Radha-kunda, this entry presents an evening of kirtan, first to the accompaniment of harmonium and then along with the arati-ceremony and while circumambulating the temple. Lead kirtaniya with harmonium: Sanatana Das.
