Local Outlook Spam Filter -

DharmaChakra - Fri, 17 Jun 2005 20:17:08 +0530
Anyone know of a spam filter to run on a local machine that works well with MS Outlook? We have a few users that need one (even though we filter at a system level, they still get the bulk of what gets through). I'm just don't know Windows apps (esp Outlook) well enough to recommend one.

Free/somewhat cheap is good, but considering the amount of complaining, we would pay for something... it just has to be _good_

There's a really good one called Thunderbird. The integration is so seamless that you don't even need to run Outlook! laugh.gif

Before liberation, I used Outlook and Mail Washer Pro and also tried Qurb and Cloudmark. All are available at download.com but none are free. Have been out of touch for the past year or two though so maybe there are newer options.

Unfortunately, this is in the Administration Office, and they use Exchange on the back end & need all the outlook stuff.. scheduling, etc. Its primarily the Superindendant's secretary.. because she sends out so much mail for him, she's on like every spammer's hit list. I'll check out the ones above.. thanks!
