Gaudiya Discussions takes personal time out - On vacation - February 28th to March 7th

Administration - Sun, 27 Feb 2005 11:01:33 +0530
Gaudiya Discussions feels rather strained due to the recent stirs and will go for a vacation for a week, beginning on Monday, February 28th, 9.30 AM GMT, which is roughly 24 hours from now. The vacation will end on the 7th of March at the same time. During the week, Gaudiya Discussions will be spending some quality time offline.

During this time, the administration hopes that the board will have time to relax and recover entirely. Structural revisions and cleaning up will take place. Nothing will be deleted, everything will be archived and available upon request.

The board will not be available during the vacation. Please send e-mails to each other if you need to communicate with other members of the board during this time. In emergencies, contact the administration for a particular member's e-mail address.

Some days after the beginning of the vacation, all members will be contacted by e-mail. The e-mail will contain an explanation of our ideals and the principles our members are expected to respect, along with an outline of the revisions that have been implemented and will be implemented.

All members will be expected to respond to the e-mail, confirming their continued interest with Gaudiya Discussions in its next avatar. Unconfirmed accounts will be left disabled and will eventually be removed.

It is our sincere hope that this will act as a significant step in revitalizing the forum and bringing it to the track it was originally meant to take.

As a note for anyone who might comment on this topic, none the above is subject to debate.

Perhaps it should be said that everyone check their listed email address to be sure it is their most current one.

I am sorry that there has been so much turmoil that you need a vacation (though I can understand why after these last few days).

I apologize if any of my own comments have contributed to wearing you down.

Blessed Be--

This is not as much an issue of my wearing down, but literally of the forums being in need of a break. I did not write the opening post of this thread with tongue in cheek, I honestly believe the forum itself, along with all of its participants and all of its threads, will benefit from a week's holiday to cool things down.

Face to Face is always my preference, but as I cannot travel all over the world or run up my phone bill to speak with my new friends, we'll have to make do with cyber communication. I am delighted that this medium enabled me to meet them--and your good self.

Blessed Be--
