Today's mySQL Errors - Feb 7, 2005

braja - Mon, 07 Feb 2005 19:51:17 +0530
We had a little glitch this morning but hopefully everything is OK now. I didn't actually have access to the tables but managed to put my thinking cap on and find a way in to repair them.

For the record, the error was:
QUOTE
mySQL query error: SELECT pid FROM in_posts WHERE queued <> 1 AND topic_id=2963 ORDER BY pid DESC LIMIT 0,1

mySQL error: Can't open file: 'in_posts.MYI'. (errno: 145)
mySQL error code:
Date: Monday 07th of February 2005 08:55:37 AM

If anyone needs to reach me if/when the board goes down and Madhava is indisposed, you can contact me through sales@the-site-where-I-sell-books.com

[replace that domain name with the real one, of course]

Does gaudiyadiscussions.com has a browser detection and can be also reached through WAP - WAP-enabled GSM mobile phones ? Many frequented websites are made several times in different seizes for different screens and different browsers like
Camino 0.7 and above
Firefox 0.7 and above
Konqueror 3.1 and above
Netscape 6.0 and above
Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.0 and above
Mozilla 1.0 and above
Opera 6.0 and above
Safari 1.0 and above
And the browser detection scipt examines the visitors systems and leads to the best page view. I'm asking because that must be a lot of work to have the same website in let's say 10 different seizes for all the different operating systems or how does it work?

This thread should be renamed:

Krishna's little time out.

And if we don't want another one we should try to behave.

Yes, it was certainly a "time out"... Krishna was saying "now take a step back people, and think about what you are doing, and whether it will affect you positively or negatively..." and then allowing us to go about our business.

Funny how you and I and apparantly many others felt the same way, Tapati. smile.gif

Yeah you can use the "repair table" function. After that, please "optimize". It's the in_posts table that gives the trouble.

This offtime for me is getting a bit frustrating.

That was what I meant! We should treat GD and other forums with loving care, because so many bhaktas and others are reading the forums: we should try to be gentle here... smile.gif "Time Out" gave us a moment to examine our motives: I hope I am not out of line in saying this. smile.gif
