Animated Gifs - How to make them?

dhaa - Sat, 27 Nov 2004 02:33:42 +0530
Anyone know of any freeware/shareware for making animated gifs?

I'm having problems with Camtasia Studio 2. I take 2 gif files same dimensions, 610x80 and put them together. Orange background with white text, plays fine from the hard drive but when on the web its messed up. When it switches to the second image:

Dhaa, looks like you have some transparency settings messed up there.

Govindaram, you seriously need to optimize those gifs of yours, they're like 150+ KB in size. Select less colours.

Try Adobe Image Ready. There are very easy tutorials on the web and it is also extremly easy to optomize images.

This is what I got:

Gif Factory

even though it says you need to pay later {which you do anyway} the trial is pretty good, as long as the programme is open you can make them. Which is kinda funny.

Madhava I use gradients so hence the bytes

Not wanting to start new thread.

But does anyone know what you can do if you want a page to load fast. Like I am making a site about the Book Nam. So any cool tips which don't require photoshop. Just something somebody discovered would be helpful. The pages are very long. So take long to load. anyway I am boring myself now. Anybody help?

If you want a page to load fast, then don't stuff in that much content! Anything bigger than what you could print on a couple of sheets of paper are better off offered as files for download.
