Skype - Free Calls via PC -

After finally getting around to trying out Skype I have to say that I was amazed at this piece of software. I spoke for 30 minutes on an international call to a friend with a dial up connection and the quality was better than a normal landline--and free! Broadband-to-broadband must be even better. You can also call normal phone numbers but have to pay per-minute charges. Even then, the rates seemed to better than those offered by many of our local phone companies. Definitely worth checking out. The software also supports conference calls.

My uncle called me from Denmark a few times using Skype. He did pay per minute, but the rate was significantly lower than what he would otherwise have had to pay. He was very excited about Skype. The connection seemed quite good to me.

Well, a cheaper calling card is Onesuite, just so everyone knows. www.onesuite.com 2.9 cents a minute within the US and pretty decent rates internationally. I phone Vrindavan on it every now and again.
