Iskcon Biting Us In The Ass Like A Doberman - from Kshamabuddhi

A valid point.
No matter how hard Madhava and the boys at the Raganuga camp try to get away from ISKCON and talking about ISKCON, it just seems to keep coming back to bite them in the ass like a Doberman chasing the mailman.

The topic of Satsvarupa Maharaja and his apparent "falldown" is THE HOTTEST TOPIC at the Gaudiya Discussion forum.

Though they would like to think and present themselves as "from another universe" of the Gaudiya "tradition", the boys of the Raganuga camp consistently demonstrate over and over, with topics like this one, that they are in fact very much, inextricably a part of the "ISKCON" universe, though they would certainly like to pretend otherwise.
I don't think we deny this. But isn't it also true the other way round? Isn't ISKCON part of the greater Gaudiya Vaishnava universe?

But I think that we are making some progress, admittedly slow, in establishing a distinct and independent point of view. Having been part of Iskcon, part of our self-definition is done by a process of contrast. Some people disappointed in Iskcon have abandoned Vaishnavism altogether, and I know for sure that many on this forum are sorely tempted to do so and hover here on the cusp.

Those of us who hesitate are the ones who are just making sure there are no babies in the bathwater.

I think that Ksamabuddhi's charges are exaggerated.
1. This thread is only in a single isolated, lower slot of the forum, specially created for this type of retro-topic.
2. The participants that contribute most of the posts on these threads are either still in Iskcon or freshly out of it.
3. As Jagat points out, the pot blames the kettle for being black. He cannot let go of us. Sparky is himself regularly surfing here, so we are biting him in the ass, too. Why does he bother about us at all, if it wasn't that he is coming here for higher knowledge?

They never met a genuine Vaishnava saint. They should go to Vraja or Bengal and get a (new) life.

If Ksamabudhi ever makes to Bengal he will go for a wife, not a life. biggrin.gif

No need, he has his enlightening forum site for that already. laugh.gif

Good point! But, he says he gave up chanting japa ( "no use of shooting blank bullets") and has a strong appetite to have sex. Question: Why doesnt he rename his forum into shivalingam.net? When asked how many rounds he chants before he starts writing posts about the most effective contraceptive methods on saraswata.net he banned me from the forum.

So the banning business is still going on uh? Call Amnesty International immediately I say.

Someone needs to stop this torturing of innocent web readers.

Why give him the pleasure?

If we starve him of the attention that he cries for so much, he will eventually realize that his "observations" have no real meaning or relevance and that he will eventually pack up and go away.

All well.

But then there is always the danger that he will brake his vow and start posting here again. ohmy.gif
